Copper's East Village Got Wildflowers Got Snow? Uley's Cabin
COPPER MOUNTAIN, CO (04-04-17) -
The Super Bee 6-pack express lift rises from the East Village towards Copper Peak in an early April snowstorm adding to their 78 inch base. Copper's closing day is April 16 to begin a host of capital improvements to ready the resort for the 2017-18 winter season.

As shown here in 2015, Summer wildflowers are in abundance along the path to the International, Peel and Funnel trails along Ruby Road. Crested Butte has great summer activities including Zip Lines, Mountain Biking, hiking and many other outdoor activities.

Uley's Cabin, is easily found off of the Crystal and Aspen Grove trails at the bottom of the Twister Lift. The Cabin, one of CBMR's on-mountain amenities, features a outdoor bar, deck and restaurant with daytime dining and sleigh ride dinners.

Bassackwards Gondola View Chair 23 View June Mtn Base
SNOWBIRD, UT (03-30-17) -
"Bassackwards" begins off the "Gad 2" high-speed quad and provides 1,940' vertical to the Creekside Base. It is named for Snowbird's founder, Dick Bass. He also was the first person to scale the highest peaks on all seven continents; he died July 26, 2015, at age 85.

MAMMOTH MOUNTAIN, CA (03-27-17) -
Mammoth's famed Chair 23 rises from the St. Anton and Silver Tip trails for a great 5.5 minute ride to the top. Lift riders will find trails named "Dropout Chutes" and "Wipeout Chutes" as well as trails with less intimidating names, but still part of the upper mountain's "Experts Only" terrain.

JUNE MOUNTAIN, CA (03-26-17) -
The peaks of the Eastern Sierra Nevada are clouded in this view of June Mountain's base area. This family fun resort, in June Lake, CA, is a short ride north of Mammoth Lakes. June again this season continued their program of "Kids 12 and under ski free."

Light clouds hang over Lake Tahoe in the distance on this picture-perfect day in this view from under the Powderbowl Express six-pack lift. New snow on the trees tell the story of an overnight dump making it another "Epic" day at Heavenly.

SIERRA-at-TAHOE, CA (03-24-17) -
The base of Sierra-at-Tahoe is covered in new snow on this cloudy day as the resort adds to their total of 565" of "Certified Organic" snow that created a 369" base as of late March. The deck is covered in 5" of new snow and more fell on the mountain on this day.

Tahoe from Diamond Peak Wild Bill's BBQ DOWn Lincoln LIft Disney Trails
DIAMOND PEAK, LAKE TAHOE, NV (03-20-17) -
Crystal Ridge at Diamond Peak is one of the most scenic trails of all Lake Tahoe resorts. The Lake, in the distance, provides a stunning backdrop with white-capped peaks in this snow-prominent winter. The trail, accessed by the Crystal Express high-speed quad, is the gateway to several blue and black trails.

DIAMOND PEAK, LAKE TAHOE, NV (03-20-17) -
Wild Bill's BBQ is an outdoor deck serving the Lakeview Chair area of Diamond Peak. The outdoor deck is a great place to relax, eat and take in the scenic Springtime views of the North Lake Tahoe shore in the distance. Trails to the base for all abilities await diners after their lunch or mid-day break.

SUGAR BOWL, LAKE TAHOE, CA (03-19-17) -
The Mt. Lincoln Express lift serves popular expert and intermediate terrain, with great views from an elevation of 8,383 feet. This view looks down the lift line along the blue Ralves Run trail, as well as several black and double-black trails. Mt Lincoln is the highest of the four peaks of Sugar Bowl.

SUGAR BOWL, LAKE TAHOE, CA (03-19-17) -
Looking across the Mt. Judah area of Sugar Bowl Resort to the trails of Mt. Disney, this view shows the steep trails on the left including the East Face. The right side of Mt. Disney has blue trails named "Donald Duck" and "Disney Traverse." Walt Disney was one of several original owners of the resort in 1939.

MT. BACHELOR, OR (03-17-17) -
The Pine Marten Express quad rises 1,360' to the mid-mountain area of Mt. Bachelor where the terrain fans out for all 360-degrees of this dormant volcano. A mid-mountain lodge also awaits for all your daily needs. Mt. Bachelor added a new quad, the Cloudchaser Express, to provide access to more terrain this season.

MT. BACHELOR, OR (03-17-17) -
A cloudy day at Mt. Bachelor as another weather sysytem moves in along the Skyliner High-Speed quad area of the resort. The lift rises 1,316' to groomed blue and green trails as well as closer access to the Summit Express for top of the volcano trails. The West Village Getback provides access to the West Village Base main base area of the area from the front of the resort.

MT. HOOD MEADOWS, OR (03-16-17) -
The Pacific Northwest has an abundance of volcanoes, a few of which you can ski! Mt. Hood provides the area where you can find Mt. Hood Meadows to enjoy six high-speed quads for their 2,150 acres of groomed green and blue trails and an abundance of black and double black expert terrain including two Canyon areas.

Blue skies and new snow on the trees as skiers and snowboarders check the trail signage at the top of Shooting Star Express Quad. The Mt. Hood Express stands at the main base of the resort to begin the ski day and the Hood River Express rises 1,400' to a Terrain Park and several blue and green trails, as well as the double-black "Private Resreve" area of the resort.

LAKE LOUISE, AB - Western Canada (03-10-17) -
On this snowy day, at the top of the Grizzly Express Gondola, 2,414 feet above the base, is a sign post that directs skiers of all abilities to terrain and lifts on the back of Lake Louise. Trails on the right are part of the Larch Mountain section of the resort, serviced by a high-speed quad of 1,230 vertical feet.

Known for wide open terrain, this photo was taken along the top of the World Cup Downhill trail. It looks below to the top of the TeePee Town Luxury heated, bubble quad and the top of the Angel Express quad. On the left, the "Top of the World" quad rises from the mid area of the resort servicing terrain for all.

New Lodge at Schweitzer Debbie Sue Trail Cedar Park Stella Six-pack
SCHWEITZER MTN. ID (03-07-17) -
Two snow ghosts stand guard by Schweiter's new mountain top lodge. This new facility has a cafteria style dining room plus a bar and table service. It is a perfect rest stop on the many snow-filled days at this Northern Idaho resort. The lodge is easily found at the top of Schweitzer's "Great Escape" high-speed quad.

SCHWEITZER MTN, ID (03-07-17) -
A popular black diamond trail, Debbie Sue, is found off of the Great Divide cruising run. The trail's steep terrain provide an optical illusion of tilted evergreens on the right and left of the center upright trees. Usually bumped, the massive, recent snowfall had smoothed the terrrain for a powder-run delight.

SCHWEITZER MTN, ID (03-07-17) -
Part of the network of beautifully groomed blue/intermediate trails is the area know as "Cedar Park" - named for Cedar trees found in this area. Schweitzer as of March 7, has received 385" of snow with an uppermountain base of 118" and a lower mountain base of 76". As a result, they have extended their season to April 16, Easter Sunday.

SCHWEITZER MTN, ID (03-07-17) -
Named for the Stella Carraige Company, this museum of sorts houses the base of Schweitzer's Stella six-pack express - the only high-speed six-pack in Idaho. The lift rises 1,550 feet in 5.5 minutes to serve blue and black terrain in Schweitzer's Outback Bowl on the resort's Back Side.

The top of Whitefish is where the Front Side and North Side converge between Chair 1, Big Mountain Express quad and Chair 7, Big Creek Express quad. The big board is staffed by friendly Mountain Hosts who help direct the guests to their trail of choice - and there are many from which to choose.

WHITEFISH, MT, (03-04-17) -
A trail marker and historical sign regarding the founding of Whitefish/Big Mountain Resort is found at the top of Chair 2, The Swift Current Express. This area has a variety of terrain with many groomed blue trails. This quad rises 1,110 feet from the Whitefish Village. Note the new snow amounts on the evergreens.

SUN VALLEY, ID (03-02-17) -
The Ski Patrol shack at the top of Sun Valley's Bald Mountain is buried in snow and needed to be dug out. Patrollers gather to be ready for a day on the mountain in deep snow of bumps and groomers with sunny skies. Sun Valley, like many western resorts has had a record snowfall this winter.

College, a famed Sun Valley trail, is another great groomer on the mountain. It overlooks the town of Ketchum, ID, - in the lower part of the photo and the Sun Valley Village - in the center of the frame. Sun Valley is located on the western side of the Pioneer Mountain Range in south central Idaho.

Warm Springs Lodge Thunder Trail Tram over Grand Top of Sweetwater
SUN VALLEY, ID (03-01-17) -
The Warm Springs base lodge is one of three massive day lodges on the mountain. Look for fun events, such as live bands and deck parties, as Spring and milder days approach. Note the huge amounts of snow on the roof of this beautiful wooden beam building. It is adjacent to the Challenger Lift and the Greyhawk Lift.

JACKSON HOLE MOUNTAIN RESORT, WY (02-27-17) -
Under the Thunder Quad is the favorite Black Diamond trail, Thunder. Note the pitch of the trail relative to the snow covered trees and lift. This snow filled day adds more powder to the 488-inch snowfall total at the resort this season.

JACKSON HOLE MOUNTAIN RESORT, WY (02-26-17) -
Jackson's famous 100-passenger Tram passes over the Grand Trail as a snowboarder carves through the new powder, part of a three-day storm that dumped another 16-to-20 inches. The tram rises for 4,139 vertical feet of Jackson terrain and deep powder thrills.

New lifts and gondolas have become common place at JHMR, and this year the resort added the new Sweetwater Gondola. This eight-passenger gondola's mid-station adds convenience to the beginner area and continues to the Casper, All-Blue area of the resort.

Silver Lake Lodge At the Northside Express Quick Silver to Canyons Powder Monkey Powder
DEER VALLEY, UT (02-23-17) -
Deer Valley's Silver Lake Lodge is an attractive place to rest, dine and enjoy the scenery - including on powder days which did not slow down their guests. (It snowed 20+ inches in three days.) The Lodge is located mid-mountain at the convergence of four lifts just sbove the main base.

On top of Flagstaff Mountain, at 9,100 ft, is where four lifts meet to spread skiers across this expansive part of Deer Valley. Accesed by the McConkey's Express Quad, the Georgeanna trail leads to a powder stash of intermediate tree skiing whose entry is denoted by a whimsical metal sculpture named "Powder Monkey." On this snow-filled powder day the welcomed entrance shows the way to a fluffy powder haven.

World Cup Gondola Great Groomer Steamboat Base New Steamboat Quad
ASPEN, CO (02-20-17) -
This gondola on Aspen Mountain promotes the 2017 Audi FIS Ski World Cup Finals on March 15-19; the first time this event has been held in the U.S. in 20 years. The races will feature the best men and ladies alpine skiers in the world in downhill,
super-G, giant slalom, slalom and nation's team event.

ASPEN, CO (02-20-17) -
Beginning below the Aspen Gondola, the Lazy Boy trail is groomed to perfection delighting all who catch early tracks on this beautiful day. Known for steep trails, Ajax - as Aspen Mountain is called - also has a wide variety of great blue cruisers. The trail is found betweeen the Ridge of Bell and Copper Bowl.

SNOWMASS, CO (02-18-17) -
A new $5.9 million remodel of Gwyn's High Alpine restaurant, located mid-mountain at Snowmass, for the facility which has been a staple at Snowmass for over 30 years. They serve breakfast and lunch and includes both a fine dining restaurant, as well as a quick serve cafe that serves specialty burgers, homemade soups, stews, salads and wraps.

One massive area of Snowmass Mountain is named "The Big Burn" and the expansive "Dallas Freeway" is the trail of choice on the Big Burn this day. Snowmass is one of four mountains that create the Aspen-Snowmass experience along with Aspen Mountain (Ajax), Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk.

Peak 7 at Breckenridge, one of five peaks at the resort, boasts a new mountain lodge - Pioneer Crossing. This spacious eatery has the signature Vail Resorts' cuisine while providing outstanding views of the Colorado Rocky Mountain Front Range.

The base of Breck's Peak 9 is home to Beaver Run Resort and the Beaver Run SuperChair to provide 1,591 vertical feet of impeccably groomed blue trails. The quad is one of 10 high speed lifts on the resort, including four six-packs.

JHMR Tram & Trails Billy Kidd-Steamboat Summer in Schweitzer Comedy Time
JACKSON HOLE MOUNTAIN, WY (07-06-16) -
Daily tram rides at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort takes visitors 4,135 ft. to the top of the resort for hikes and spectacular views. Mountain biking is popular on lower, extreme parts of the mountain, while the base offers many activities.

STEAMBOAT RESORT, CO (08-02-16 ) -
The colorful summer activities at the base of Steamboat Ski and Summer Resort are watched by a statue of Billy Kidd, legendary American skiing Olympian and Steamboat icon. In winter, you can take a ski run with Billy most days.

This Pacific Northwest favorite resort, located close to Sandpoint, ID has easy access through Spokane's nearby airport, just 90 minutes away. The resort has great terrain for mountain biking, camps, tennis and events that go into the Fall.

LAKE TAHOE, CA/NV (07-24-16)
The "Funsome Threesome" of LARRY the CABLE GUY, RAY ROMANO (left) and ROB RIGGLE (light shirt) entertained the gallery with jokes before their round of golf at July's annual American Century Championship, broadcast live on NBC. The three had spectatators roaring with laughter. Link here for more.
