The area occupied by Dinosaur Nat'l Park was once an ancient river, then a long drought killed many dinosaurs. The bones were drpped tp the river bottom and began to pile up and were covered with sand and mud. This resulted in a dinosaur bone"logjam" forming today's Nat'l Park.
